“Greetings from the New World” – A Covid Diary
When the world stopped in Spring 2020 the Covid Diary began. Isolated together within the pandemic, painting became my coping mechanism. This series was intended to visually report, reflect, and transcend the hurt and confusion playing out within us all. The Covid-19 story is not done. I still paint.
Fly Rhymes With Lie
A fly lands on VP Pence’s head during the VP debates as he was explaining to the country that “there is no systematic racism in America”.
Finally I had a metaphor and outlet for painting the absurdities perpetuated by the Trump Presidency. And the ‘Fly’ series was born.
Give me A Kiss I Can Really Feel
The hardest thing about living within the age of Covid-19 is not being able to gather together or hug. These paintings express my longing for the simple things: A kiss. A hug. Even a hand shake.
